I finally got my lazy butt to the library. The cool thing about the library is that as soon as I am there everything that is usually in my head besides the writing just... goes away. It pops like a soap bubble and it's gone. My brain goes, "Ah, this is where I go to those other places and the fingers bring them through."
I have trouble writing anywhere else, now, and that kind of sucks. I've tried to avoid that place-dependence as much as possible, but Ah, well.
On to the stats!
Title: Shift
Words today: 1785 all typed in and everything.
Words Word didn't like: Ooo-eee! phlegmy
My particular favorite of the day: Alek stroked the bit of dark fuzz under his lower lip. He must think it looked cool, but it made Mobius want to hand him a napkin.
Environmental hazards: The old couple sitting behind me surfing the internet on the library's wireless answering their cell phone and having a long talk about the storms over the weekend. "We spent most of the night in the bathhouse." (O_O) I didn't need to hear about their travails. In fact, the library requests, via signage, that we not use cell phones past the lobby.
I put on my headphones and listened to a couple of mp3s while they chatted, just to avoid hearing it, even though I can't write to music. (I can think and imagine and visualize to music, but not actually write. *shrug*) It was over soon, and they left right afterward.

You know, I was here this weekend, too, with the tornado sirens going off every half hour all day Saturday. We had guests, too. We do not have a basement, so our storm shelter is the only windowless, interior room on the bottom floor, which is the half bath under the stairs. So I was crammed in a half bath with several other people about every 45 minutes on Saturday. Until we wised up and checked the internet radar feed to see if any little funnel clouds were close.

This evening the fam went out for pizza, and who should appear at our favorite pizza joint but the Bath House Oldsters. They looked at me funny. I probably looked at them funny, too.
