So, yesterday I spent a good part of the day cracking the proverbial whip on the boys, trying to get their homework done early so they could play. Also, because the hubby had to work at home and therefore I needed to keep the kids occupied until he was done. When he was finished with work, I slipped off to write.

Only I had totally forgotten to eat anything, even when I made the kids lunch.

So by the time I sat to write I was running on fumes and completely oblivious. I made some progress, got frustrated and decided to do other things for a little while. Only by the time that stuff was done I had become morose and unable to focus. Couldn't talk to hubby because Unexpected Houseguest was there, and I suspected I'd get weepy.

So my Beloved brought me milk and cookies, and I fell asleep pretty sure that what I wrote made no sense.

Looking over it, I see I was right. *sigh*

I can still finish the thing today. I'm close to the end, and I know what the end is. I can do this, right?

That is such a mum thing to do; forgetting to eat while making sure everybody else are alright. And then they wonder why mums can be so odd sometimes :)
Of course you can sort what you wrote. Go get 'em!

Thanks, dear. I suppose it is a mum thing to do, but it's also kind of dumb. *sigh* I just... forgot to eat. O_O

I think I can get to the end of the m/m kidnapping story by tonight, but I'm not sure I'll be able to get anyone to beta it before the deadline. Still, just getting there is something. :)

See? There's the light at the end of the tunnel; getting there. And if it's any comfort, I forget to eat too. Then I go all dizzy and strange. Normal mum behaviour. Not dumb.

Thank you. That really is comforting-- knowing I'm not the only one.
