asato_muraki at 10:54pm on 14/05/2011 under thing a dayOn Friday, I took a caterpillar and its sibling (already cocooned) to a homeschool group meeting and showed it to the kids. They got more of a kick out of it than my kids did, watching it all happen live at home. (When my friend gave them to me, they were two large, fat, bright green tomato caterpillars. I mean, Disney cute. Then one started to shrink and darken. It cocooned, and then the other started to shrink and darken, too.)
Today, the fam went out and had lunch, followed by some retail therapy and a nice sitdown on a bench by the lake. The weather was unseasonably mild, almost a bit chilly. (Usually it's blistering by the end of May, here.) That was lovely. I hadn't ever been to this side of the lake before, probably because it's practically in the suburbs, a whole seven or eight miles from where I live. GOSH!)
But it was fun. I have pictures, but I can't be arsed to upload them now on account of I'm writing and stuff. :P Maybe tomorrow. :)
