I spent most of the day doing stuff related to the end of school -- volunteering, doing the Field Day thing. Also, I shoveled out Wee Boy's room and it is now clean. He understands that the upkeep is his responsibility now, so I'm hoping he's going to stick with it. Big Boy has ever since about that age, but you never know.
Then, I helped the kids with homework (plus finishing touches on a project for one of them) and fed them. I had to rush out to get the hubby at the airport about ten minutes before my friend who was to sit with them arrived, leaving Big Boy in charge. It went fine, evidently.
I must've had a following wind, because I made it to the airport on time, and his flight was on time. We were a few minutes late to dinner with a lovely HP saleswoman and some other print industry customers.
You know, it's been a loooong time since salespeople have taken us to a swanky meal, so it felt odd, even though it was once commonplace. The food was tasty, and everyone was nice.
Today I have to pay bills and pack, pick the boys up from school early, pick up our friends and then drive down and get the hubby at HP. From there we drive to New Orleans (I hope to be able to edit Big Boy's zombie movie on the way). The company crawfish boil is Saturday, and we hope to maybe take a ghost tour in the evening. Sunday will be consumed by the drive back.
The website is going to be a tad neglected this weekend, but it's just as well since the Azrul folks will be trying to debug the new software update for me.
