First, a link for [livejournal.com profile] abrynne

Reading YouTube comments is the surest way to douse the flame of hope for the human race that sometimes burns in my heart. But usually only on politically charged or gay-themed videos.
Not ones like this:

That explains how Write or Die works. It seems to have done me some good today, so I think it is a useful tool.

This fellow, on the other hand, is too charming for words. He seems to have several NaNoWriMo related vids, which is how I happened upon him. He appears to be quite Popular, as YouTubers go.

And now for a meme I nicked from [livejournal.com profile] narniadear. I really enjoyed participating over on her LJ, so I cannot pass up the chance to share the love.

If you saw me in a police car, what would you think I got arrested for? Answer, then if you want, post to your own journal and see how many crimes you get accused of.

Well, which mode of the writing or die did you use? Was it really effective or did you just write anything at all?

I used the middle mode, with a word goal but not timer. I knew what I needed to write when I sat down. By the end of it, I had a rough 751 words, which became about 850 after I spent some time cutting bits I didn't like and re-writing them. So, 750 words in an hour, then another hour or so cleaning up all the messy bits. Still, I managed to avoid the sirne song of lolcats, which is an improvement for me. :) I think I will set higher goals tomorrow and see what happens.

LOL. My siren song isn't lolcats but other stories. I'd rather read than write any day.

Oooo! But I swear that Kirk never ran into Romulans until the original series. We will have to see. I am excited to see a new Trek film despite whatever I say from now til then. I can't help being skeptical with J.J. Abrams having anything to say about it. lol

Well, he's interesting, if nothing else. ;)

I'm the only Star Trek fan in the universe that seems to be excited to see the movie. All the zingy things they're doing just look so cool to me!

No, no. I agree. It looks great, and I hope it will be great. I've rather enjoyed Abrams' stuff as well. He has a thing for questions he never answers, though, and that annoys me a tad. ;) Still, it looks cool.
