I've been sort of discovering a lot about myself lately (or realizing how odd some of the things I already knew about myself might seem to the world at large), and while I realize I'm not the most fascinating of topics, at least I am a topic I can write about with some authority. Heh.

1. I'm about one 16th Shawnee, Native American. Not enough to cry when people litter.

2. I have clear memories of potty training and what it was like to wear diapers, even though I was fully potty trained by the age of two.

3. My first favorite color was yellow, because it was like the sunshine. I still like it, but it's one color I don't wear well at all.

4. At this point in my life, I am both an unabashed pervert and a lifelong monogamist.

5. I like to eat comfort food out of giant bowls, with slightly larger than average spoons. I had no idea this was actually a habit until my BIL pointed out that I always seem to eat cereal and macaroni and cheese out of bowls large enough to cover my head. It's true that I do this, but I have no idea why.

LOL on the crying thing.
Yellow is a lovely color but hard to wear.

Five random things?

1. When I was little, I thought Beverly was the loveliest name and I wanted to change mine to that. I didn't.

2. I got started in artistic things through Star Wars. I wanted the opening scene of ANH and couldn't find it anywhere. So I taught myself to paint. :) Which led to costuming, quilting and writing.

3. I've been to 48 of the 50 states. Still missing Louisiana and North Dakota.

4. I hated high school with a passion. Went as far as I could away from that place. I realized at my 5th year reunion that it was a very good idea that I left. Those people were still idiots.

5. When I was 35, I vowed that I'd do something different or unusual or daring every year. My first one - taking a hot air balloon ride. I'm terrified of flying and heights but I did it anyway. I've done something cool every year since.

Wow, that is awesome! 1.For me the name was Heather, which is odd because my given name is Olivia and most people like that a lot. 2.I was a total Star Wars addict as a kid. It changed my life-- split my imagination wide open.
3.You have been around, dear, haven't you? ;) 4. Almost every interesting person I have ever met has not looked back fondly on High School. The people who peaked then are kind of sad. 5. That's awesome! I should try to challenge myself like that each year, too. You inspire me.

LOL. That's cool that we had similar experiences with the name thing.

I love to travel so I've been to most of the European countries, China and Japan, a bit of Mexico and about a third of the Canadian provinces.

Go for the challenges. They've been a lot of fun. I've eaten reindeer meat and gone kayiking in Alaska, been white-water rafting and hiking in the Colorado Rockies. Been on stage at science fiction conventions in costume and had long discussions about writing with authors. Some years I don't do things that scare me necessarily but intrigue or teach me something. But I like to push the envelope at least once in a while. :)
