A Twist of Things to Come

We got the school applications in. For next fall. O_o I've been thinking back to something I heard in TED Talks video about education. Basically, if a child is gifted in art or writing or music, but behind in math, we hire them a math tutor (we are considering a math tutor for Big Boy) instead of using that money to develop the gifted area, which is most likely the area that the child has the most interest in.

But I ask you, isn't that kind of wack? I'm beginning to think so, actually. *sigh* Still, there are some hoops he must jump through, I suppose.

Oh, and look what I found! In the game Dragon Age Origins has a m/m cut scene, if you make the right choices. I remember when sex scenes in games were the exception, but now lots of games have them, depending on how you play. I personally do not get the appeal of having sex in a game when I can do it in RL with minimal effort on my part, but I suspect I'm not the target audience for this type of thing (not a gamer at all -- I get motion sick watching other people play, even).
