Thank you, Jer. That really means a lot. I've been maudlin and totally shit company for days, but this gave me some comfort. I think you may be right. If he'd just been under the house because he couldn't find his way back in, he would have been meowing and we would have heard it. I could clearly hear people talking in my living room while i was under there finding him. :/
