01. What's the last DVD you watched?
That would be Bender's Game, a fun romp for those of us who enjoyed Futurama, LotR, and know people who play RPGs. Heh.
02. What are you wearing at the moment?
Sweater and blue jeans, athletic shoes.
03. Who is your favourite writer?
Geez. That's like asking someone to pick their favorite tooth. Hmm. for the sake of this meme I will exclude any authors I know or who are on my flist. So. I would probably worship Susanna Clarke as some sort of deity, even though she hasn't written many books. I'm gutted that M. Crichton died, because he was just plain cool. I've always been fond of Doyle and Dickens. I read Neil Gaiman's blog and consistently enjoy it, even when goes on about cheese.
04. What is your favourite scent?
Coffee. Or, raspberries, maybe. Oh! My Beloved's hair just where it curls behind his ear. Definitely that. Perfumes and such tend to nauseate me.
05. What's that one movie you can watch over and over again and never get tired of?
The Princess Bride? I think so. Possibly the Lord of the Rings extended edition.
06. What do you drink the most?
Water.
07. Is there a useless thing that you cannot brace yourself to throw out?
Any number of things. The worst offender is probably my blue jean jacket that I used to wear a lot in college. Oh, SOOO unstylish now, but I was wearing it when I first met my Beloved, and later when I ran around a corner and flat into him and we started to talk. *sigh*
08. What is your occupation? What do you do there?
I was a career federal employee, but I left to be mommy. I've done the odd editing or consulting job as they have come up in the mean time. Now I'm looking for work so I guess that makes me unemployed.
09. What did you want to be when you grew up?
A scientist. I wanted to cure horrible diseases. Or else be a writer. Both were on my mind when I was six or seven, but only one seems to keep coming back.
10. What are your favorite song(s) of the moment?
"Gravedigger" (acoustic version) By Dave Matthews on his solo recording. And that slower remake of "Mad World" that they use in Donnie Darko. I don't know why that is.
11. What characters are overrated?
Three words: High School Musical
12. What 3 people would you invite to dinner?
Oscar Wilde, Craig Ferguson and Sara Sasse
13. What is your current desktop?
Stonehenge. I'm a lazy beeyotch.
14. What kind of person do you think the person who tagged you is?
I think she's awesome! Thoughtful, responsible, caring. I'd love to meet her someday!
15. What are you afraid of?
Losing my husband or children
16. Where would you love to go in your next holidays?
back to Vancouver, but with the fam, or possibly the U.K.
17. What are you into right now?
Samurai Champloo (The hubby and I have been watching and enjoying it quite a bit.) Writing. I want to finish another drawing soon, too.
18. What did you do today?
Up early, morning madness. Applying for jobs, making dinner, eating, cracking the whip on my boys to do their homework. Writing.
19. What do you want?
I think I've pretty much got what I want, materially and emotionally, except for some money. I'd like to be enlightened.
20. What should you be doing right now?
Separating my children, who are being naughty to each other. (I stopped to talk to them and came back.)
21. What's the meaning behind your LJ username/name/nicknames you go by?
It is the first name of one character (the protag) and the family name of another (villain) in an anime I am fond of, Yami no Matsui. If you look it up to watch, do not do the English Dub. It was so bad, I died.
In the Apple not falling far from the Tree department, Wee Boy got out of the shower asking what would happen if water was $1000.00 a drop? "And it never rained on this continent, but there was plenty of water in China, and..." At this point he fell over because he was trying to put his shirt on his legs.
