A Twist of Things to Come

Hope it was full of awesome things!

Today, I went to Jazz Fest with some friends. This is a Big Deal, but I am so exhausted I can't even tell you how awesome it was.

Let me just say that I could have lived happily in teh Jazz tent, but it was not to be. I heard my first ever Jazz bagpipe solo, which was amazing. The only way it could have been better would have been to not give the bagpipe its own microphone. Bagpipes do not benefit from amplification in a venue that size. Wow.

I also got to see Kermit Ruffins, Buckwheat Zydeco and Better Than Ezra, among many, many others. The food was awesome, and the company was more awesome still. I almost weaseled out of it in order to stay home and be boring. I'm so glad I didn't.

My feet are killing me, but oh my lawd! What a day!
