A Twist of Things to Come

Haven't been posting much, and have not accomplished much else, either. I'm still working on GC and still plodding forward on my re-write, but for the most part I've let my understanding of the realities of the world impact my life too much.

By which I mean, it gets so hard to believe in the Dream (American or otherwise) when you see the deck being stacked against you and your family at every turn. Plus, I just feel really, really tired. I'm going to talk to my doctor about that bit, when next I see him.

That said, there are some really, truly extraordinary things I have in my life, and I'm really stunned when I stop to think about just how rare and precious they are.

I'm keeping up with the exercise even though I'm constantly tired.

The hubby miraculously fixed the wonky power supply issue on my computer that was making the monitor flash constantly. It was a short in small internal part, which he rather expertly replaced. I am constantly impressed by the things he can do as if they are nothing. He just blinks and shrugs, as if any idiot should be able to these things. He really undervalues his native gifts, but at least he has me to tell him how awesome he is. :)
