The latest up at GC is the wonderful Shoes, Operating Systems -- it's all about the Hunt by A Nonny Mouse (known to LJ locals as [livejournal.com profile] jedi_diplomat ). Let me just say that she's the first Chica to be quoted directly by a top blogger (a fact I only discovered yesterday). So, Jax, Go YOU! :)

(If you want to know which article it was, just Google "GeekaChicas" and it's the one that pops up under the main page.)

I'm also getting to share our lovely Pearce's talents with some other blog sites now, and shes even been tapped for a future appearance on a geek radio talk show. So, woo-ee. :)

I'm so proud of all my contributors! There is no way on this earth I could have made something as cool as GC on my own. The vision I had for the site is pretty much based on the understanding that my friends rock, and the world needs to know it. So, there you go.

Book Club was last night, and once again I stressed unreasonably over what nibbles to bring. Nibbles aren't even mandatory, but the Southern breeding goes deep in me. *sigh* I made some brown rice pudding. It was good, but a bit too rich for the serving size, I'm sad to say.

We discussed To Kill a Mockingbird, which I recently re-read for the purpose. I plan to blog about the awesomeness of it at a later date. :)

Tonight is the Scene Magazine party, and I'm surprisingly calm about hob-nobbing with local 'royalty'. I suppose it's because I know little will be expected of me. All I have to do is look nice and be blandly pleasant. Plus, I know a couple of people there who will, I hope, show us around a bit.

Ack! Halloween!

The conclusion to "The resting Bones" goes up at GC today, so keep an eye out!
