A Twist of Things to Come

So, by bed time last night, my brain was mush. I was still alert, not very sleepy, but I'd worked my decision-maker to a frazzle.

I spent scraps of time all day revising "Whom Gods Adore" and I believe it has reached the "good as it's going to get" stage, at least for now. But I was so messed up when I finished tweaking, I still need to proof it one more time.


In the middle of all that, I helped the kids through their school work, made Wee Boy's birthday cupcakes and a lovely dinner. Could have been worse. ;)

A cold front finally moved in -- the high is supposed to be 81 today, and 79 tomorrow. We'll see how that works out. Either way, I think I'll take the gang to the park, if it's not too rainy.

On today's agenda:

1). School, plus having Wee Boy copy his story assignment neatly onto fresh paper (this is more of a hassle than it sounds), and completing Big Boy's conference sheet.

2). Posting more HMOWK. This section is huge compared to some others. I still don't think it will hit 50 chapters, so we're close to the end. I'm looking forward to it being over, to be honest.

3). Read over the last revision of "Whom Gods Adore" and sending that bastard out. I'm not sure whether it will be with the joy of hopefulness or the relief of not having to look at it for a while, but it will feel good, either way.

4). Must get to the library to return books and check out some new ones.
