Adjustments

It's always so hard to get going the first day after a visit from the hubby. I keep feeling like I've forgotten something, left my keys... something. Really I'm just missing him. Which is not to say that we don't get on just fine on our own, but we do miss him.

I'm going to call a friend this week and see if she can bring her kids over to hit the pool one day this week. I still need to get back to the sorting and filing again, do laundry, finish the dang Poll results video. Stuff like that. I also owe a couple reviews on things on my good writing group. (Not the writing group from hell -- I ditched that one a while ago, thank you very much.)

I feel a bit like someone is tickling my nose with grass or something. I'm guessing this coupled with the sneezing fits is not a good sign. So much dust I've stirred up!

The good news is I've already met my word goal for the day. :)

Baby steps.

On the geek parenting front, my Wee Boy walked into the room while Big Boy and I were watching an episode of Buffy and shouted, "The cake is a lie!"

Women are Nerds, Too!

Just got a great little post up on GeekaChicas, called Women are Nerds, Too. It mostly points to a fabulous article on Firefox News called Women Read Comics, And Other Things You Never Knew.

All I can say is, preach it, sister. Testify!

Nothing singes my biscuits more than the insistence of so many people that women in genre fiction or fandom, comics, collecting, gaming, IT... whatever don't exist. We are not freaking invisible, people! Our contributions count!
