A Twist of Things to Come

We said goodbye to our sweet rescue doggie this weekend. She had got very suddenly ill, and given her age and the complications involved, the vet doubted we could make her comfortable. We'd been fighting a couple things, but they got much worse despite our best efforts.

We made her a grave marker out of mahogany, and buried her in the back yard.

I held it together until Big Boy, tears still rolling down his sweet face, said, "She's biting angels in heaven, now."

I loved that darned, cantankerous dog. *sigh*
