A Twist of Things to Come

Yep. It happened again. By the time I thought to take a picture, realized that the batteries in both my cameras were dead (and the ones from my phone just looked in dire need of a flash) it was fading, but I think the webcam caught enough to show you.

Odd. Still, I go back to see my internist tomorrow, so that's good. I didn't cut myself that time, my hand just got cold. It's in the 50s and sunny outside, and quite pleasant inside, but a slight chill... *shrug*

Went to the library with Big Boy, which was a blast. He's going to be all set for the reading project (as to read a few books from each section of the Dewey Decimal system, plus two more Georgia Book Award nominees. For months they had listed the last book in the Jedi Apprentice series as "Overdue, presumed lost" but today it was there. Guess I know what I'm reading aloud tonight. :D

Today I learned how to do picture-in-picture video effects, and that "blooming" effect that is so popular on wedding videos and Elizabeth Taylor Perfume commercials(it blurs slightly, disguising blemishes or wrinkles). Also, slow motion and "freeze" frames. Tomorrow I get to pixelate people's faces! Heh.

Writing projects are progressing. I expect to have more HMOWK up this week. In other news, re-writes are frustrating (mostly because you go right back to first draft status in the new sections, and it stands out). But I will nail it eventually.
