A Twist of Things to Come

It also happens to be my sister's birthday, and Saint Nicholas Day (in Germany). There were always neat parties on my sister's birthday when we lived in Germany. Other than her own, I mean, and people would always comment on her birthday being a significant day, a holiday. Here in the U.S. it's just another day.

You know, I bet all our birthdays are holidays somewhere. ;) Mine, June 24th, is celebrated as Midsummer in some places in Europe, even though it isn't the summer solstice anymore. That's kind of cool.
